Good morning!
The Mentoring@Purdue (M@P) team would like to welcome you back to campus for another wonderful year and extend an invitation to our Welcome Back Social on Wednesday, August 28th from noon-1:00pm in Pfendler Hall room 241!
M@P would like to invite all incoming and current graduate students, faculty, and staff to our annual welcome back social. This informal event is a great opportunity to meet new students, reconnect with returning students, and actively engage with potential peer and faculty mentors. Please join us for lunch, socializing, and learn how to get involved with Mentoring@Purdue!
This summer M@P hosted our 6th class of scholars from our Summer Scholars Program. Thank you to all of our speakers, guests, and hosts for their support! To read more about the Summer Scholars Program, meet the scholars, and learn a few new mentoring tips, check out our Fall Newsletter attached to this email.
The Welcome Back Social kicks off an excellent lineup of M@P workshops for this fall--check the
Fall Lineup Flyer attached to this email and don't forget to mark the dates in your calendar!
M@P is designed to meet the mentoring needs of the mentors and mentees in the program through events, group forums, guest speakers, and workshops. As a participant in M@P, you will have numerous opportunities for academic and personal growth, support, encouragement, and assistance. M@P will provide training and guidance to both parties on how to have an effective mentor-mentee relationship. Mentoring has played a crucial role in the success of many individuals, especially those that are generally underserved. The M@P program helps students grow professionally, academically, and personally to become successful individuals in their chosen area of study.
