We will host an Advanced Electrodynamics Workshop  with DARPA  this coming Wednesday April 10th 1pm in Burton Morgan Room 121.  The workshop is open to the entire Purdue community, no registration required.

 

Topics to be discussed include

 

- Casimir Forces and Vacuum Friction

- Levitated Opto-mechanics

- Maxwellian Phases of Matter

- Superconducting Detectors

- Quantum Critical Detectors

- Quantum tomography

- Engineered visual perception

 

These areas are related to two programs, DARPA DETECT and DARPA Nascent Light-Matter Interactions on which Purdue is leading efforts.
