Couple of action
items/feedback where your input will be very valuable:
- Sunil
Bhave has kindly agreed to coordinate the Birck faculty lunch seminars next semester. It will be great if you can participate and volunteer to give a short talk about your research.
- Major equipment purchases $100K-$1M (EVPRP proposal deadline is on Jan. 26th)
- Please let us know if you are interested to submit a proposal for a new tool at Birck and if you need help with the required
1/3 cost share
commitment. Please provide details (cost, faculty groups benefiting, anticipated usage) by December 15th
so that we can evaluate space requirements and center’s priorities.
- We are reviewing the CAP policy and also the subsidy for various recharge centers during December. Please let us know if you
have any feedback or suggestions.
- Atrium Display: please encourage your students to prepare samples/demos that can highlight research in your lab. We will send
details about a student competition/prize in early January.
- We always look forward to hear feedback on ways we can improve our operation and also to brainstorm about areas where Birck
can increase its pre-eminence as a world-class nano
center.
- Please discuss your ideas with any faculty in the Leadership Council.
It is a real privilege to work with our outstanding
group of faculty and staff. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other suggestions or comments.
