Due to a failure in the air handler for the EAST
LABORATORY WING of the Birck Nanotechnology Center, the air handler must be
shut down and the exhaust volume reduced. This shutdown will occur at
4:15 PM TODAY. It is expected that the systems will be fully restored
by 5:00 PM.
Please discontinue the use of fume hoods, biosafety
cabinets, and any equipment using exhaust in these laboratories during this
period and leave chemicals, etc., in a safe condition.
Note that this includes all laboratories number 10xx and
20xx. The west wing laboratories (12xx and 22xx) will not be affected.
Thank you for your cooperation during this event.
