Dear East Lab Wing User,

This morning there it was discovered there could be a motor or belt failure causing a serious vibration at the air handling unit that is transferring to the concrete floor causing vibration issue down into the lab areas.

We need to shutdown this air handling unit that controls ambient temperature and humidity for all the following labs and galleys.

We are not sure how long the down time will be until we complete the investigation of the unit and review parts needed.   For safety reason we plan to maintain normal BIO and chemical exhaust levels.  When you enter these lab spaces you may experience higher static pressure levels effecting how easy the lab doors will open.

We plan to shut down the unit at 10AM.  Sorry for the shut notice but we don’t want to cause more possible damage to the Air handling unit.
