For users of BRK equipment on iLab, please be aware of a new feature: cancellation notifications.

Towards the upper right of each iLab calendar, there is now a toggle button allowing individuals to turn on the feature for each individual tool calendar. When enabled, you will receive a notification if a user cancels a scheduled reservation on the tool anytime in the next 30 days. However, since nearly all BRK tools only allow booking up to 7 days in advance, most notification would only be received for cancelled reservations within the next 7 days.

If you are a user who is having a hard time finding available time on a particular tool, we recommend you enable this setting on those heavily booked systems.

Please be aware that “no-shows” will not send a notification, and we ask all users to cancel their reservations as early as possible if they know they will not be using the reservation. Users who “no-show” repeatedly and against common courtesy may lose access to these systems.
