The new east wing exhaust systems has been fully commission, tested, and is operational. The labs are now open under
single fan conditions prior to the shutdown.
Thank you for your patience with this major change to our build systems.

Subject: [Bnc-facility-notice] REVISED Shutdown Schedule - BNC East Wing
Please see the attached shutdown schedule for the east wing of the BNC.
Note the second crane lift (details in attached PowerPoint) and the revised laboratory shutdown dates.
Also, note the shutdown of all hoods in the east wing beginning next Monday, 17 December 2012. All hoods in the east wing of the Birck Nanotechnology Center will be shut down at 7:00 am Monday morning, 17 December 2012. All hazardous
materials - chemical and biological - must be removed from the hoods prior to that time. We hope to have the hoods operational by the end of the day on Friday, 21 December 2012. Please watch for a bnc-facility-notice e-mail and the removal of the signs before
using a hood in the east wing.
Hoods in the west wing of the facility will NOT be affected by this work.
Thank you for your patience during this critical project.
John
