Tuesday AM Chiller Update
All, Please be advised that the campus chilled water supply from Wade is running warmer than normal at 45 deg. F. vs. the typical 39 deg. F. We will be calling the chiller operators to see if there is anything they can do to bring the temperature back to normal. Based on the current status of the air handler cooling coils, it appears likely that we may lose temperature control in the labs in addition to the predicted humidity control once our low temperature unit goes offline. It is still running pending Carrier's arrival onsite. This morning's extremely high humidity and warm temperatures are working against us. However, we are hopeful that once this weather front passes both the outside air temperature and humidity will drop as forecast, lessening the impact of the downtime. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update everyone as appropriate. Regards, Jeff Kuhn Facility Engineer Birck Nanotechnology Center Purdue University 1205 W.
