Sent on behalf of the Birck Disciplinary committee ------------- Dear Birck Community, This week the Disciplinary Committee issued written warnings and probationary penalties (restricted hours after the building re-opens) to two members of the Birck community and we want to re-iterate the importance of following the lockdown policy in letter and spirit. In this case, an employee who was deemed essential personnel let another person into the building who was not: this is sometimes called "tailgating". Even during normal operation, you should not circumvent key card access policies. It is even more important right now that only essential personnel are in the building to protect the health and safety of everyone in the community.
