Free Hands-on Workshop on Machine Learning

nanoHUB is excited to announce the next workshop in the Summer 2021 session of our Hands-on Data Science and Machine Learning Training Series. 

Series information. Our series is aimed at active researchers and educators and designed to introduce practical skills with online, hands-on activities that participants will be able to incorporate in their own work. Hands-on activities will use nanoHUB cloud computing resources, negating the need to download or install any software. All that is required of the audience is an internet connection and an hour to spare for the demonstration. After the training sessions, you will be able to continue using nanoHUB for research or education.

Soham is the recipient of Purdue University’s Outstanding Graduate Research Award.

RCA Cleaning Process Hood & Spin Rinse Dryer

A dedicated area and equipment for performing SC1, SC2 and HF Dip baths

SC1 – Organic and Particle Clean

• UPW, NH₄OH, and H₂O₂ at 80C.
• Removes organic residues & particles

SC2 – Ionic Clean

• UPW, HCL, H₂O₂ at 80C.
• Removes metallic contaminants and leaves a thin passivizing layer on surface.

HF – Oxide Strip

• UPW and HF at 25C.
• Removes thin oxide layers and some ionic contaminants.

Spin Rinse Dryer

• Automatically rinses and dries up to 14 4” wafers at a time.

RA Position at Birck

SEM training and assistance:

The Birck Nanotechnology Center is looking for a Grad student with experience in scanning electron microscopy to assist 20 hrs a week with the SEMs at BNC - Hitachi S4800 FESEM and TFS Apreo FESEM  in the clean room.

The responsibilities will be:

• Provide SEM analysis services - imaging and EDX chemical analysis - to BNC and industrial  users using both the Hitachi S4800 and TFS Apreo FE-SEM
• Manage the reception of samples and analysis instructions from Birck users 
• Training new users in both the SEMs Hitachi S-4800 and TFS Apreo
• Align the microscopes biweekly and make sure the systems are working properly. 
• Provide assistance to users remotely in case an issue arises.
• Manage the training and services request for both SEMs in Ilab and provide metrics every week.
• Training new users in SPI sputter coater, Nanomill ion polisher, and mechanical polisher. 
• Have great disposition, excellent communication skills, and ability to solve problems when providing services or trainings
