We have serious issues at Wade Power Plant that are affecting the Birck Nanotechnology Center. As of 7:15 AM we are shutting down all hazardous gases in the facility. All other operations will continue at this time. Please be aware, however, that we may need to shut down all exhaust in the building with very short notice if the situation at Wade worsens. Shutting down the hazardous gases is a necessary precautionary measure that is part of our cold-weather steam-pressure contingency plan. Additionally, the offices and public areas of the building are currently losing temperature, and this trend will continue until Wade systems improve. Cleanroom humidity - which has a direct effect on photo speed for positive photoresists - is low. Cleanroom temperature is stable at this time, and all exhaust systems are functional. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this utility issue. John John R.
