Attached is the holiday schedule for December, 2006.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind in addition to the schedule.
First, staff coverage of equipment will be limited to the
week days that are not Purdue holidays. Please contact staff only for safety emergencies during the
Purdue holidays. Due to vacation time taken between Christmas and New
Years Day, some staff members may not be available during this holiday period.
We will provide equipment coverage to the best of our abilities with the staff
members who are present. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
Second, many Purdue services are either unavailable or on
minimum crews during the holiday period. Shipments and mail delivery will
not be available on December 27, 28, and 29. Keys will also not be issued
during that time unless there is an emergency – in that event, please
contact Mark Voorhis, Building Manager.
It is Purdue policy that employees cannot be required to
work during Purdue holidays. We are attempting to find employees who will
volunteer to work as lab buddies during the holidays, but if we are not able to
find people the cleanroom will be closed and no chemical process will be
allowed in the laboratories on the days marked in blue on the attached calendar.
Please check posting at the cleanroom entrance and Sheryl’s desk for
updates.
Thank you for your understanding during this holiday and
vacation period. We are trying to keep our operations open for the
maximum reasonable amount of time during this period.
