A Big Remindeer...Call for Papers UGIM Abstract Deadline - February 15, 2010 Abstracts (one text page + one figure page) must be submitted electronically on the symposium web site by February 15, 2010. Authors should indicate preference for oral or poster presentation, as well as their institution and contact information. Final manuscripts (6 pages maximum) must then be submitted electronically by April 2, 2010. These manuscripts, both papers (20- minute presentation) and posters, will be published in the symposium proceedings. NanoDays! April 2 and 3, 2010: Graduate students and faculty needed to support this activity. We will be inviting area schools, on Friday, 04.02.10, and the local community, on Saturday, 04.03.10, to participate in hands-on demonstrations to introduce the concepts of nanotechnology. The goals for this event is to educate target audiences (K-12) and to have FUN! Sign up today. FACULTY NEWS Purdue Researchers Land DOE Early Career Grants InsideINdianaBusiness.com Report Two Purdue University researchers are recipients of grants from the U.S. Department of Energy's new Early Career Research Program. Jean Paul Allain, an assistant professor of nuclear engineering, and Denes Molnar, an assistant professor of physics, are among 69 researchers chosen nationwide. They will each receive at least $150,000 per year to cover summer salary and research expenses.

BNC faculty members will receive an e-mail message from Monica Allain or Tim Sands. Members of the Faculty (Professors and Research Professors) are responsible for contacting each of their group members, including graduate students, undergraduate researchers, postdoctoral fellows and research scientists.
