UK-US workshop and research funding in Synthetic Biology: The UK's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) have issued a joint call for expressions of interest in a five day workshop (a "Sandpit") in March 2009 on the topic of  "New Directions in Synthetic Biology".  Novel and transformative research arising from the Sandpit will be funded by EPSRC/NSF up to £5.5M.  Please visit the website below for more information.  Applications are due 15 January 2009.
