Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Network for Computational Nanotechnology, a resource supported by the National Science Foundation, we would like to announce the 2011 Nano-Biophotonics Summer School (NBSS11) to take place at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, May 23- June 3, 2011. This is a two-week event aimed at training graduate students with research interests at the interface between optics, biomedicine, and nanotechnology. The School combines lectures and presentations with hands-on computational labs, delivered by experts in the field.

The tuition and lodging are free for qualified students who apply by April 1st. For more information and application, please visit:

http://light.ece.illinois.edu/NBSS11/

Our previous Summer Schools, NBSS10 and NBSS09, have been a great success. We received approximately 120 applications each year, out of which we accepted 40-45 students from ~20 universities and ~15 countries! To see last year’s schedule and information, please visit here.

We hope to see you in Urbana soon,
