This summer, we are offering a course for students in grades 9-12 entitled Nanotechnology that will run July 1-14, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM. We are looking for a qualified instructor for the position and I was hoping that you could help us get the word out. Below is the description for the course: Nanotechnology Take a closer look at the world you can't see! Explore the basic principles and concepts of nanotechnology, with an emphasis on the relationships between nanotechnology and everyday tools and other things familiar to students. These principles will be illustrated through a wide variety of examples from the sciences, engineering, and technology, and from everyday life. Although we have a title for the course, the instructor will need to develop the curriculum for the course. We are very open to how the course is designed, so anyone with a background or interest in nanotechnology is encouraged to apply. The base pay for the course is $1,000, plus the instructor will receive a $25 per student supply fee (the enrollment is capped at 18 students). Anyone who is interested in applying can contact me at pearcej@purdue.edu<mailto:pearcej@purdue.edu>. Thanks so much for your assistance! Jennifer Pearce GERI Summer Residential Coordinator 100 N.
