New Equipment

Today we are excited to announce the completion of the installation and acceptance of the Heidelberg DWL66FS laser writer. It is located in the M bay of the cleanroom. The DWL 66FS is a maskless pattern generator made for direct laser writing of structures on any flat material or curved surface that is coated with photoresist. It has an address grid of 100nm, a minimum feature size of 1um and a write speed of 10 mm˛/minute. Other features include-

·         Substrates up to 9 x 9 inches

·         8 x 8 inch write area

·         Backside alignment with an overlay accuracy of 6um

·         375nm UV Diode Laser

·         Accepts the following data formats-

o   DXF, CIF, GDSII, Gerber

Jobs can be submitted through the mask queue just like a normal optically generated mask. Please see Mike Courtney 494-6522 mcourtne@purdue.edu or Bill Rowe 496-8389 wrowe@purdue.edu for more information or a demonstration.
