Yesterday at the Birck Nanotechnology Center, the Nanotechnology Student Advisory Council (NSAC) organized a research symposium for undergraduate students. The research works presented by the students were truly excellent and exciting, resulting in high scores from the judges. NSAC is happy to announce the following as winners of the Summer 2015 NSAC Undergraduate Student Research Symposium at Discovery Park. First Place: Daniel Romano -- Competitive Tuning of Calmodulin Target Protein Activation Drives E-LTP Induction in CA1 Hippocampal Neurons Second Place: Aaron Pikus -- DSMC Simulation of Microstructure Actuation by Knudsen Thermal Forces Third Place: Ran Cui -- Mass-positioning of nanodiamonds using squeegee technique The winners will receive cash prizes in the amount of $100, $60 and $40 for First, Second, and Third place respectively. NSAC thanks the entire Discovery Park community and in particular the undergrad student presenters, judges and all those that made the event possible.
