Dear Birck Research Community,
We would like to announce that with help of the EVPRP Instrument Program, the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD) database, PDF-4+, was purchased. This database is a primary reference of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) data, which became known as
the Powder Diffraction File (PDF). PDF is a collection of single-phase X-ray powder diffraction patterns in the form of tables of characteristic interplanar spacings and corresponding relative intensities along with other pertinent physical and crystallographic
properties.
As it was announced earlier, one license of ICDD database is installed on the public computer at BRK 1045, and any XRD-trained user can use the database free of charge.
We have deployed the second license on another PC, which can be remotely accessed using Windows Remote Desktop. Please contact Dr. Dmitry Zemlyanov (dzemlian@purdue.edu)
to get permission for Remote Desktop of this PC. The calendar to reserve the usage is here: https://purdue.ilabsolutions.com/schedules/501902#/ (it is free of charge but you still need to reserve).
You also can find this reservation at 'BRK Metrology Core’ -> 'Space Reservation (No Cost)’ -> 'BRK 1045 Remote PC - ICDD PDF-4+ 2022'
Please contact Dr. Dmitry Zemlyanov if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Dmitry Zemlyanov
