Dear BNC Community,
I am pleased to announce that the Zeiss ORION NanoFab at the Birck Nanotechnology Center has been restored and is operational again after approximately nine months of downtime. The instrument enables (i) high-contrast, high-resolution nanoscale imaging and (ii) nanometer-scale milling and nanofabrication. A short flyer with additional information is attached.
The Zeiss HIM will operate under a grace period for the next three months, from March 23 to June 23, 2026. During this period, user fees for HIM operation will be covered by Birck.
To participate in this program, users are asked to submit a short proposal (maximum ~10 sentences) describing:
The research goals, and
How the HIM will be used and any planned follow-up work.
Requests should be sent to Dmitry Zemlyanov (dzemlian@purdue.edu) and cc’ed to Dr. Neil Dilley (ndilley@purdue.edu). Terms and conditions apply.
Best regards,
Dmitry Zemlyanov
