Dear Birck Colleagues, 

On behalf of the heat transfer area within Mechanical Engineering, we would like to invite you to attend two events this week with the Viskanta Lecturer, Prof. Eric Pop from Stanford University. Prof. Pop's research interests include nanoelectronics, data storage, and energy.

The Viskanta Lecture on "Thermal Transport in Layered Materials, Devices, and Systems" will be held on August 31 at 1:30 - 3pm in Potter 234 (the Fu Room). 

A tutorial on "What Are 2D Materials Good For?" will be held in Birck 1001 from 11 am - 1pm. Lunch will be provided, so we request that you RSVP at https://forms.gle/vbroaAeushseDyjX7 by Wednesday 5pm if possible.
