The installation of the new
JEOL JBX 8100FS Electron Beam Lithography System will start on Tuesday September 19! JEOL will have a 3-person crew at Birck to start bringing the 8100FS and its various components into the cleanroom and start the assembly and testing of the JBX 8100FS
in P-Bay. It is expected that installation and acceptance will take 8-10 weeks. Once installation and acceptance is completed, it will be showcased to the world at Purdue and Birck.
Here are some of the highlights of the new JBX 8100FS-
* 100kV
* Two exposure modes- high resolution and high throughput modes
* Scanning speed of 125MHz
* Three cassettes- 6 inch wafer, four inch wafer and a pieces cassette
* Minimum line width –less than or equal to 8nm
* Overlay +/- 20nm or less
* Stitching +/- 20nm or less
We will also have a full service contract for 4 years. We are looking forward to adding this new Electron Beam to Birck’s research tool set.
