There will be a
shutdown of a critical electrical panel on Thursday morning, 8 January 2009,
from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
Several actions
are required as a result of this shutdown:
·
Laboratories
on the west end of the building (12xx and 22xx) are CLOSED during the shutdown. There will be no lighting in these
laboratories.
·
In
offices on the west end of the BNC (12xx and 22xx), all sensitive
electronics, such as computers, should be shut down prior to 6:00 AM Thursday.
·
No
laboratory or cleanroom drains may be used for acid or caustic disposal during the shutdown. (All laboratories,
not just west)
·
There
will be no hydrogen available in the cleanroom or laboratories.
·
The
passenger and freight elevators on the west end of the building will not
be available.
·
There
will be limited or no lighting in the cleanroom, subfab, and tour aisle on
the west end of the building. Do not attempt to work in unlighted
areas!
·
There
will be limited lighting in the atrium.
