There will be a shutdown of a critical electrical panel on Thursday morning, 8 January 2009, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM

Several actions are required as a result of this shutdown:

·         Laboratories on the west end of the building (12xx and 22xx) are CLOSED during the shutdown.  There will be no lighting in these laboratories.

·         In offices on the west end of the BNC (12xx and 22xx), all sensitive electronics, such as computers, should be shut down prior to 6:00 AM Thursday.

·         No laboratory or cleanroom drains may be used for acid or caustic disposal during the shutdown. (All laboratories, not just west)

·         There will be no hydrogen available in the cleanroom or laboratories.

·         The passenger and freight elevators on the west end of the building will not be available.

·         There will be limited or no lighting in the cleanroom, subfab, and tour aisle on the west end of the building.  Do not attempt to work in unlighted areas!

·         There will be limited lighting in the atrium.

Thank you for your patience during this shutdown.
