Dr. González will lecture on the topic: "Chinese Mexicans and Mexicanidad." In this talk, Dr. González will give a brief history of Chinese immigration to Mexico during the twentieth century and illustrate some of the ways the Chinese contributed to and claimed belonging to the Mexican nation. She is also a Houston-based licensed psychologist who offers individual psychotherapy within a compassionate, client-centered, and non-judgmental framework. Dr. Wang works from a social justice and intersectional framework focused on understanding the impact of racial trauma and racial identity on mental health.
