[Bmeroundtable-list] Stay weather ready with text messages
It is spring in Indiana which means the weather will change in a heartbeat. If you have not signed up for alert messages, I encourage you to do so at: https://www.purdue.edu/ehps/emergency-preparedness/purduealert-text/. You will not be bombarded with texts. You will receive the information you need to know to stay safe, which includes more than the weather. During a weather event, the safest place in West Lafayette is the basement. We love our building in West Lafayette, but there is a lot of glass. We hope our friends in Indianapolis weathered the tornado yesterday safely. You have the option to choose your location as West Lafayette or Indianapolis. The weather is never the same in both places. You can also follow Purdue Emergency on X. Below is the information from the Purdue Emergency website: https://www.purdue.edu/emergency/ Bad weather doesn't just happen in April, it just ramps up as we go from winter to spring. Please keep yourself weather-aware. Timely warning messages at Purdue Timely Warning<http://www.purdue.edu/timely-warnings/> messages and the Annual Security Reports<https://www.purdue.edu/ehps/police/statistics-policies/security-reports.php> are part of Purdue University's commitment to providing campus-area crime information in compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or, Clery Act, as it is commonly known.
