Last week we had the a visit from the Parking Supervisor for an full assessment of all our parking spaces around MJIS. We have been informed that effective today (January 9th ) parking patrols will be increasing their routes and will come through all area lots on campus hourly. They will be strictly enforcing all parking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (yes, even on the weekends!) and will be ticketing. Our lots will be undergoing an overhaul over the next few weeks. We will see our 20 minute loading zone spaces and the motorcycle spots in the dock area removed. We will no longer be allowed to let staff, faculty, non-university service techs, food delivery drivers, or seminar speakers use any of the dock spaces. All of our dock spaces are being changed over to University Facilities parking and will be for the Animal Care Teams, Physical Facilities crews and University approved and permitted subcontractors ONLY. This policy will be in effect 24/7. If you park there, you WILL be ticketed. Pay attention to signage wherever and whenever you park, as signage will be changing very soon, and restrictions will be enforced. Also note that 24-hour reserved spots will be more closely monitored also.
