Attendance Requested: Grad Student Research Seminar on Friday's This Fall
Happy Monday (and start of the semester)- Continuing from last year, we will be hosting our 3rd year grad students research talks again during the semester (instead of summer). These talks will be on Fridays this fall. This move will hopefully continue to help with the metrics listed below that are not only beneficial but essential for our PhD students training. 1. Increased attendance by our faculty, students and staff so that our trainees can receive needed feedback on their presentations skills for improved performance for future presentations. 2. Community building-- time built in each Friday to support our students and enjoy each other's camaraderie with snacks and coffee. Much like regular Wednesday BME seminar, we will send out announcements for seminar each week with the presenters abstracts. I have also attached a list of the assigned speakers each week to this email for your reference. We highly encourage you to attend as many of these talks as your schedule allows and look forward to creating a community event that we can look forward to each week. Be on the lookout for a calendar invite for these talks. Please let me know if you have any questions.
