Purdue students, faculty and staff will need to create an account using their Purdue email. Using a Purdue email will ensure rides are free. Riders are not required to use the app to ride the free shuttles but are encouraged to use it to guarantee a seat. "We are excited to roll out this app, which will help enhance the rider experience," said Jessica Robertson, associate vice president for Auxiliary Services. "The app will also help administrators track ridership and potentially make necessary adjustments to shuttle schedules." The shuttles will be fully operational beginning Aug. 12. Six round trips will be offered daily during the week with a reduced schedule on the weekends during the fall and spring semesters. Pick-up and drop-off locations on the West Lafayette campus include in front of the Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center (PMU/STEW) along Mitch Daniels Boulevard and the circle drive on the northwest side of the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center (CREC). The pick-up and drop-off location for Indianapolis will be along West Vermont Street, near the intersection with North Blackford Street. "We understand that students, faculty and staff may need to commute back and forth between campuses for a wide variety of reasons," said David Umulis, senior vice provost Purdue University for Indianapolis. "Providing this service will make it easier on the Boilermaker community so we can continue to perform at the highest level and maintain excellence at scale." Indianapolis parking information Parking is available for those traveling between the West Lafayette and Indianapolis campuses. Faculty, staff and students who will also be working or attending classes at the West Lafayette location will be able to use "A" surface lots and nongated parking garages after purchasing an IU Indianapolis parking permit. Faculty and staff who work primarily at the West Lafayette location should contact Purdue Parking after purchasing a permit to also request an IU Indianapolis permit. At this time, students in West Lafayette do not have parking reciprocity at the Indianapolis location.
