Good Afternoon,
Please Note: You have been sent an individual email if you or your student is expected to prelim soon. This is for all other students that started Fall 2022 or later
As part of our new PhD milestone process timeline PhD students are expected to meet with their entire committee
every year (spring semester).
If students complete a qual exam or prelim exam during the year (fall or spring semester), that will satisfy this committee meeting requirement for that year. If they do not complete an exam, then they are required to complete a mentoring
meeting with their whole committee. These mentoring meetings are intended to help keep our doctoral students on track in their research, in their academics training, and in their career development.
As part of the mentoring meeting, the committee is expected to assess and mentor students using similar criteria as all other milestones meetings to help ensure the student is on track to complete their training in the Weldon School
of biomedical Engineering.

As in all annual mentoring meetings, the committee will need to fill out the digital evaluation rubric at the end of the meeting to provide feedback to the student
