HUGE Virtual Career Fair: Postdoc, Faculty, and Industry Positions!
See attached
Because Purdue is part of a BIG 10 Academic Alliance, our PhD and MS candidates get invited to an annual virtual career fair hosted
by The Ohio State University. Recruitment is open to any academic institution or company, but only students and postdocs from the BIG 10 Alliance can register to be seen by these recruiters. Last year, 1,900 participants met with recruiters from 42 institutions.
This year, OSU is holding three fairs over three days:
·
Career Fair for Postdoc Positions on October 21, 12 noon to 3PM ET
·
Career Fair for Faculty Positions on October 22, 12 noon to 4PM ET
·
Career Fair for Industry Positions on October 23, 12 noon to 4PM ET
You can participate in one or all three
for free! Once you register, you will receive a Google sheet with recruiter information including job position descriptions. You can sign up for one-on-one or group slots with individual recruiters, depending on what they have available. The number of
recruiters build up over time, so you will want to keep checking the Google sheet for new opportunities and sign up for slots before they get full.
The career fair uses the Handshake platform which Purdue does not host, so OSU has created a “workaround” for Purdue students to
still participate. I have attached the workaround protocol for you to create your profile and submit your CV.
If you want your CV or resume to be shared with recruiters prior to the fair, you must submit them by NOON, SEPT. 29th-instructions
below.
·
Submit
your CV for the Academia Hiring Fairs
·
Submit
your resume for BIG10 GSPIRE
Please use the registration link below each fair to sign up and get noticed!
