Engineering Deans’ Panel: Leadership and Success in
a Faculty Position
About:
You have considered pursuing a tenure track assistant professor position,
but how do you not only achieve this – but succeed in the position and lead? Come join the Engineering Academic Career Club (EACC) and Purdue Engineering’s Dean and Leadership Team to learn more about leadership positions in academia and how you can hit the
ground running in your future faculty career!

Graduate Writing Workshop
Application Open (for first or second year graduate students)
Introduction to Graduate Writing Workshop
The expectations for writing in graduate school are much
higher than for writing as an undergraduate. As a graduate writer, you may undertake the writing of articles for publication, grants, conference presentations, a thesis or dissertation, etc. The Introduction to Graduate Writing Workshop is meant to introduce
graduate students in their first or second year to various aspects of scholarly writing so that they can become successful scholarly writers in their field of study. The workshop is a four-part event, and participants are expected to attend all four
sessions. The four parts of the workshop focus on Getting Started, Drafting, Revising/Editing, and Project Planning.
Spring 2022:
Dates/Times: Wednesdays during March (excluding spring
break, March 2, 9, 23, & 30) from 4:30-6:00 pm.
Format: Virtual (Zoom)
Anyone interested in attending this four-part event should
apply between Feb 7 and Feb 20, 2022. Complete

Keri, COSYNE 2022 Invitation
Hayagreev’ s poster abstract was accepted for a poster
presentation at the Computational and Systems Neuroscience Conference (COSYNE 2022) being held at Lisbon, Portugal from March 17th-21st.
The poster is titled: Goal-directed processing flexibly
controls the flow of interhemispheric tactile cues.
The authors are: Hyein Park, Hayagreev Keri, Chengyu
Bi, Daniel Butts, Scott Pluta.

Agudemu Borjigin won 2nd place
in poster blitz at ARO!
ARO: Association off Research in Otolaryngology hosted
a poster blitz (3 min talks) at their virtual conference this week, and our very own Agudemu Borjigin won 2nd prize in the student category!! Hari told me there were ~250 student applications and 22 final presentations, so he did really well
representing Purdue BME!!!
