ESE Symposium - Final Call for Posters!

This week is the 18th Annual ESE Symposium!  This year’s theme being "The Future of WATERS", created by the 2023 ESE Cohort, the symposium will explore six critical themes around water: Wellbeing, Access, Technology, Ecological Impacts, Resilience, and Sustainability, addressing issues such as water quality, security, policy, and access.   On the first day, the students will be hosting Dan Egan, a New York Times bestselling author.  Then on the second day, students will host a panel discussion followed by a poster session.  Attached you will find flyers for Dialogue with Dan, our panel discussion, and a call for posters, along with additional details listed below. This should be a great event, and we cannot wait to see everyone!

·         1:30 - 2:00 PM: Breakout Sessions - Dive deeper with focused groups, including the RISE UPP initiative, or explore specific school breakouts for more personalized interactions.

 

 

Future Faculty Boot Camp: Professional Development Event

October 7th & 8th | Fall Break | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

 

This fall break, the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Professional Development is hosting a two-day, in-person event that will include 13 professional development workshops designed to prepare graduate students for the academic job market.

 

Students who plan to have a career in academia are encouraged to attend this free event! Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
