Ready to break into health technology or fast-track your health-tech career? Apply for the Innovation Fellowship at the Byers Center for Biodesign at
Stanford University!
We’re looking for innovators with backgrounds in healthcare, engineering, computer science, or business to apply for this hands-on, full-time program
(August 2025 – June 2026). As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll learn how to identify important unmet medical needs, invent technologies to address them, and bring those products into patient care. Applications for the 2025-26 Innovation Fellowship
are now open through August 9, 2024.
The fellowship begins with an immersion in diverse care environments where fellows identify over 100 needs. Teams select the most promising needs; prototype
and test solutions; explore patent, regulatory, and reimbursement issues; and develop operational and business plans to advance the project. Fellows work with the medicine, engineering, and business faculty at Stanford as well as prominent Silicon Valley inventors,
CEOs, venture capitalists, and advisors.
Following interviews at Stanford University, 12 successful candidates will be awarded fellowships, including tuition and salary support.
The Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign values the unique path of each applicant. We believe that personal and professional diversity inspires creativity
in our teams, helps us innovate effectively for different patient populations, and is key to advancing health equity. Members of historically underrepresented groups and communities facing the greatest inequities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications for the 2025-26 Innovation Fellowship are due August 9, 2024. To learn
