Let us serenade you as you enter MJIS 1001 for the final distinguished research seminar of the semester! BME Beats will have its inaugural
performance on Wednesday, December 4th, from 9:15-9:30 a.m. in the MJIS Atrium.
Dean Arvind Raman has developed a new initiative celebrating the creative talents of our Purdue Engineering
community – Developing a Thriving Community Through Celebrating Creative Talents. This initiative aims to celebrate and amplify the voices, creativity, and stories within our engineering community. This project brings together students, faculty, and staff
through shared musical experiences, offering an inclusive and inspiring platform for expression and connection.
Here in BME, we have developed "BME Beats" which will premiere in MJIS on Wednesday, December 4th from 9:15-9:30
a.m. in the MJIS Atrium. Our first performance will be by "BME: Barbershop Music Exegesis" featuring Ariel Cudworth, Director of Tippecanotes Chorus, Rex Fodrea, Department of Biological Sciences, Van Neie, Department of Physics & Astronomy, and BME's very
own Jo Gelfand. Please make sure to be in the Atrum at 9:15 on Wednesday to celebrate music - and the arts - and BME.
Performances will continue next semester, so stay tuned for future fun!
