NIH Grad Student Fellowship Opportunity for Cancer Research (requires nomination)
Dear Purdue Life Sciences Ph.D. Students,
Are you studying cancer and interested in the prestigious NIH F99 award? This award supports outstanding PhD students to complete their
dissertation research training (F99 phase) and then transition to mentored, cancer-focused
postdoctoral career development research positions (K00 phase).

The National Cancer Institute allows only one submission per institution, per year!
To be Purdue’s 2024 nominee, you must submit a portion of your application to us (for review) by August 26th. Then if you are selected as the nominee, you will have two months to finalize your application due November 19th.
If you are interested in being Purdue’s nominee, send the following items to

as a single PDF by August 26th at NOON:
1.
Completed NIH Biosketch template
2.
Specific Aims following instructions in the solicitation
1.
Specific Aim 1: The Dissertation Research Project.
1.
Provide a detailed description of the research to be completed in the F99 phase.
2.
Specific Aim 2: The Postdoctoral Research Direction.
1.
Identify the research direction to be pursued for the K00 phase.
3.
