The 23nd International Summer Academy/School on Bio-X: AI in Healthcare, Medicine, and Biology is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the University of Houston Department of Biomedical Engineering, the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), the Columbia University BME Department, the Georgia Tech/Emory Biomedical Engineering Department, the Technical University of Crete, the National University of Singapore Institute for Health Innovation and Technology (iHealthTech), and others.

Since its inauguration in 2001 at Dartmouth by NSF Director Dr. Rita Colwell, this Summer Academy/School has played a transformative role in shaping future leaders in science, engineering, and medicine. More than 660 alumni have gone on to become rising-star scientists, distinguished professors, institute directors, and global healthcare industry leaders.

This program provides an outstanding opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to learn, collaborate, and engage directly with internationally recognized leaders in the field—while experiencing an inspiring academic environment in Greece.
