This year will be the 18th annual ESE Symposium, which is planned and organized by the 2023 cohort of ESE graduate students.
This year they will be hosting Dan Egan, a New York Times bestselling author. Then on the second day, they will have a panel discussion followed by a poster session. The attached flyers are for Dan Egan and a call for posters.

This informal event will provide an opportunity for undergraduates (sophomore and above), graduate students, and recent grads to meet
the Statehouse Internship Directors, gain information, and obtain answers to questions. Faculty and Staff are also welcome to attend.

The Statehouse employs college students as interns in Indianapolis during the spring semester in these areas:
Communications/Media Relations, Indiana Black Legislative Caucus, Information Technology, Legal, Legislative, Multimedia, Policy, Press Secretary, Publications, and Ways & Means.
The
spring 2025 semester internships are paid (yes, paid!) and they are fantastic experience for students from all majors, backgrounds, and interests, and can be a great foundation for any career!
The application is open now and the deadline for spring 2025 internships is October 31, 2024.

NIH F31/F30 Workshop Series Registration Closes Next Monday!
The Purdue Institute for Cancer Research and Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars (OGSPS) are
launching a writing-intensive NIH F31/F30 Award Workshop for PhD students or MD/PhD students interested in applying for F31 or F30 awards.
Four out of the ten students who completed this workshop series in the past were awarded the fellowship. This year, we extend the workshop to MD/PhD students interested in F30 awards and hope to help more students in their grant applications and achieve
their career goals in health-related research.
