The nomination request for the F99 is now open at https://purdue.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6qWLsQa4rYFmMCi

 

The deadline to request nomination has been extended to September 16 at 5 pm ET. 

 

Nomination requests must include the following: 

1.       Your NIH-formatted Biosketch 

2.       Specific Aims Page (follow the F99-specific instructions given on the website: https://www.cancer.gov/grants-training/training/funding/f99

3.        

4.       List of the Sponsor (or co-sponsors), Collaborators, & Consultants with their names, department and university affiliations and 2-3 sentences about their roles in your project.

5.       A list of the 4 - 5 individuals whom you plan to ask for letters of recommendation if you are selected as Purdue's nominee: Please include their full names, positions, institutional or organizational affiliations, as well as one sentence that states when/how you worked/interacted with them.

Upcoming Opportunity for Students: Virtual Q&A Sessions with GREAT Outreach Committee

We wanted to share an upcoming opportunity for students. The GREAT Outreach Committee will host Virtual Q&A sessions focused on biomedical graduate and MD-PhD programs on Sept. 21, 5 p.m. and Oct. 13, 4 p.m. (All times in ET). 

Students will be able to connect with program directors at institutions from across the country to learn more about biomedical graduate and MD-PhD programs and careers. This is an opportunity for students to practice their networking skills before Fall conferences. Attendees can bring questions and concerns to these interactive sessions.

Research opening for developing neural interface technology

Professor Meng Cui’s research lab is developing a new high-throughput neural interface technology. We have two openings for research assistants. Training in mechanical engineering, precision instrument, and miniature robotics is preferred. We welcome both undergraduate and graduate students. For more information about our lab.
