NSF Activate Fellowship: Apply by Oct. 17th
NSF recently announced a new $20 million investment in Entrepreneurial Fellowships through a multi-year cooperative agreement with Activate.org.
The Activate
Fellowship is a two-year fellowship program for scientists and engineers
to help turn their technology concepts into a product. For the year 2023, NSF funded 45 startups in the US, one of which was a Purdue student startup. The Fellows would receive a yearly stipend of $80k -$110K along with health insurance, travel allowance,
and relocation. Each project would also receive $100k in research funding and will have access to at least $75k in flexible capital. Please find more details here.

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn about THREE postdoctoral programs in the Chicagoland area and the cutting-edge research happening at each institution. More than 160
faculty members from the three institutions have signed-up to participate
in the Initiative!
This is a collaborative initiative to improve diversity and inclusion at the three largest research universities in the Chicago area, with the goal of addressing the "pipeline" challenge in academia for historically marginalized graduate students and postdocs,
including individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds, who have disabilities, who identify as LGBTQIA+, who are veterans, or who were first-generation college students or Pell-eligible. Selected participants will learn about postdoctoral
programs in the Chicagoland area, how to find postdoctoral opportunities, how to apply for postdoctoral positions, and how to maximize your postdoctoral experiences. Following these two days of programming, participants will conduct informational interviews
with matched faculty members through November 3rd.
