BME In-House Food Pantry is
Open for YOUR Benefit! (Shelf-Stable Foods & Winter Accessories)
For
anyone who might need food or warm winter clothes, please stop by BME’s food pantry cabinet. It is located by the vending machines on the first floor of MJIS. Please take whatever you need, and encourage other students in need to do the same!
What is available at the BME food pantry cabinet?
While supplies will vary depending on amount of donations and time of year,
you will likely have a variety of shelf-stable foods available to choose from in addition to winter necessities such as hats, gloves, socks, etc.
When can I access the BME food pantry cabinet?
Anytime the MJIS building is open for access! The cabinet is free and open for your use as needed.
Have something extra to give? Those who are able can donate
non-perishable foods, kitchen necessities, and winter clothing items to the white pantry donation boxes located on each floor of MJIS (The first-floor box is located right outside of the 1021 academic suite front door).

four nominees for the Schmidt Science Fellowship to fund two years of interdisciplinary postdoctoral research. Applications for Purdue’s nomination are due

Eligibility

Studying for a PhD in natural sciences (Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Sciences), Engineering, Mathematics, Computing – or any of the sub-disciplines. Individuals on clinical track MD-PhD or Veterinary-PhD programs
are not eligible.
·
Expect to complete all degree requirements between May 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027
·
Must be committed to immersing themselves in a new discipline beyond their current expertise
