2022-2023 Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships Competition
The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships program is designed to support world-class students pursuing doctoral degrees at Canadian universities. The scholarship awards $50,000 per year for three years. The program is open to both
Canadian and international students. Students must be nominated by the Canadian university at which they plan to study.

Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies: Institute for Information Literacy at Purdue $4,000 Research Grants

Creating Informed Learners in the Classroom (CILC) Symposium
The symposium highlights recent work on the integration of information literacy into courses using the informed learning model. The founder
of informed learning, Christine Bruce, will give a keynote address. Information literacy researchers, Drew Whitworth and Lorna Dawes, will give invited talks describing how they have used informed learning in their research and teaching. This event will also
showcase the collaborative work of librarians and instructors who codesigned student projects that embed information literacy into disciplinary courses at three research universities in the United States (University of Arizona, University of Nebraska, and
Purdue University).

The Office for Inclusion and Diversity at Virginia Tech is pleased to announce that the fall 2022 Future Faculty Diversity Program (FFDP)
will occur in-person October 2-5, 2022. This year we are primarily seeking candidates in STEM fields. All costs for participants (travel, lodging, meals) will be covered by our office.
The Future Faculty Diversity Program is designed to assist departments at Virginia Tech with identifying and recruiting talent from historically underrepresented minority populations such as African Americans, Hispanics/Latinx, American Indian/Alaska Natives,
