McClintock Bioscience Postdoctoral Fellowship – Apply Now!
See attached
The Sandia Barbara McClintock Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship has been established in honor of Nobel-Prize winner, Barbara McClintock.
McClintock’s pioneering work in maize demonstrated that genes are responsible for turning physical characteristics on and off and her theories explained the suppression and expression of genetic information from one generation to the next. The McClintock Postdoctoral
Fellow will spend half of their time on their own original, self-directed research (funded by LDRD) and half of their time on an established Sandia research project.

New Course: Teaching Engineering Online
This course is designed for anyone who wants to be prepared to teach engineering or other technical topics online. The course has three
modules. The first module introduces five important features of an online course: effective course content design, methods for keeping students engaged, use of the course platform and interactive materials, accessibility of course materials, and assessment
of student learning and of the instructional unit itself. In Module Two, each student will design a short instructional unit on a topic of their choice that could be included in what would typically be a “lecture” course for an audience that the student expects
to teach. Each week, students will receive guidance on incorporating one of the five features discussed in Module One into their unit. Module Three is similar to Module Two, but students will prepare an instructional unit that could be incorporated into
a “laboratory” course.
