The BIG10 Academia Career Fair… Registration is OPEN!
See attached
The Ohio State University is disrupting the way we hire tenure-track faculty, adjunct faculty, researchers, lecturers, postdocs, or
similar positions within the academy and research institutes via The
BIG10 Academia Career Fair!
Are you ready to take the next step in your academic career? This is your chance to connect with leading institutions across the nation
and explore exciting opportunities for tenure-track faculty, adjunct faculty, researcher, lecturer, and postdoctoral trainee positions.
Join us at The BIG10 Academia Career Fair and discover the pathways that await you. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to meet
recruiters from top academies and research institutes who are eager to meet talented individuals like you!
NOTE: This fair uses Handshake as the virtual platform, and because Purdue does not use Handshake, OSU has generously written a “workaround
guide” for us (attached). Please do not wait until the last minute to register in case you need time to implement this workaround!
We look forward to seeing you there!
PLaCE Short Course Registration is open
Registration is open for the first session of the PLaCE Fall 24 - Short Courses. https://purdue-place.gosignmeup.com/Public/Course/Browse.
These classes and workshops are a good fit for students who will benefit in specific areas, such as pronunciation or reading strategies.
Classes are non-credit bearing and free to enrolled international students.
They may qualify to earn a certificate. We do ask, if students are not able to attend the entire session to not enroll, so another student may have the space. More details about classes may be found on the PLaCE website:
https://cla.purdue.edu/place/classes-and-workshops/short-courses.html
Visiting Scholars may register for classes after August 19th, if space is available.
For questions, please email
place@purdue.edu
or snicolas@purdue.edu.
Chicagoland Postdoc Recruitment Initiative: Application is Open!
The Postdoc Affairs Offices at Northwestern University, The University of Chicago, and University of Illinois Chicago invite you to
apply for the Chicagoland
Postdoc Recruitment Initiative, taking place virtually
October 10-11, 2024!
Applications will be accepted through Friday, September 13.
APPLY
HERE!
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn about THREE postdoctoral programs in the Chicagoland area and the cutting-edge research
happening at each institution. More than 130
faculty members from the three institutions have signed-up to participate
in the Initiative!
This is a collaborative initiative to improve diversity and inclusion at the three largest research universities in the Chicago area,
with the goal of addressing the "pipeline" challenge in academia for historically marginalized graduate students and postdocs, including individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds, who have disabilities, who identify as LGBTQIA+, who are
veterans, or who were first-generation college students or Pell-eligible. Selected participants will learn about postdoctoral programs in the Chicagoland area, how to find postdoctoral opportunities, how to apply for postdoctoral positions, and how to maximize
your postdoctoral experiences. Following these two days of programming, participants will conduct informational interviews with matched faculty members through October 25.
