Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies invites you to attend and present at Purdue GIS Day 2024: Exploring GeoAI on Thursday,
November 7, 2024 in STEW 214. The conference will also feature keynote speaker Gregory Brunner, an experienced scientist, award-winning professor, and principal
data scientist at Esri—global market leader in GIS software, location intelligence, and mapping. He will be speaking about the rapid growth of the AI model ecosystem and the potential impact it has and will have on GIS in his talk titled, “The Burgeoning AI
Model Ecosystem and Its Potential Impact on GIS.” Please submit your proposal by
September 30, 2024 which will also get you registered for the conference to receive a free T-shirt and to attend the panel discussion lunch. |

Navigating the IRB Process and Submitting Your Study
Join the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and Institutional Review Board leadership in uncovering the components necessary
for a successful IRB application. In this session, researchers working on protocols or starting a new protocol can receive assistance and have all their questions answered in real-time by IRB staff, who will be in attendance, as they prepare their protocol
for submission. The goal is for attendees to have their protocols at or close to a submittable state by the end of the session. This session will be particularly useful for graduate students getting ready to submit an IRB application for their research and
new faculty preparing to submit their first Purdue application. **Bring your laptops**

This year will be the 18th annual ESE Symposium, which is planned and organized by the 2023 cohort of ESE graduate students.
This year they will be hosting Dan Egan, a New York Times bestselling author. Then on the second day, they will have a panel discussion followed by a poster session. The attached flyers are for Dan Egan and a call for posters.
