Position Overview
The Harbin Laboratory is seeking a motivated undergraduate or graduate student to join our team as a Biomaterials Engineering Intern. This role supports ongoing
work in engineered collagen biomaterials for translational medical applications and provides hands-on experience in polymerizable collagen production, bioanalytical and biomechanical testing, and documentation within a structured, quality-managed environment
emphasizing rigor, reproducibility, and real-world impact.
The RBET Lab focuses on engineering and translating implantable biomaterials that restore tissue function, empower physicians, and improve patient outcomes.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a laboratory setting involving the production, processing, and testing of polymerizable collagen and related biomaterials. Activities may
include handling biological materials, chemical reagents, and operating laboratory equipment (e.g., filtration systems, centrifuges, lyophilization, and materials characterization instrumentation). Work requires adherence to laboratory safety protocols, standard
operating procedures (SOPs), and structured documentation practices.
