Announcing the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) Postdoc Recruitment Event

Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ is one of the nation’s elite groups of National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers. Attend our virtual recruitment event to learn what makes Rutgers Cancer Institute an exceptional environment to be a postdoc performing cancer research and launch your career! 

·         Senior PhD and MD/PhD students as well as current postdocs are invited to apply by November 8, 2023 at 5pm ET. 

·         Applicants may indicate interest in up to 4 Rutgers Cancer Institute faculty from a list of those recruiting postdocs to start in the coming 12 months.

·         A virtual recruitment event will be held for all applicants on December 5 from 12-2pm ET. 

·         Following the recruitment event, up to 20 selected candidates will have individual virtual meetings with CINJ faculty with whom they have been matched. Prospective postdocs are guaranteed at least 2 and possibly 3 faculty interviews. 

·         Once the applicants have been informed which faculty they have been matched with, it will be the prospective postdoc’s responsibility to reach out to the faculty by email to select a mutually agreeable time for a 30 min interview. Those individual virtual interviews will be conducted over a 2 week window (by December 21).  

·         Following the individual faculty meetings, select postdoc applicants will be invited to visit and meet with the faculty in-person (limited Travel Awards available)

Fredrick N. Andrews Environmental Travel Grant – $1,500 travel grant for graduate students who are researching various means of improving the global environment.

 

A.H. Ismail Interdisciplinary Graduate School Grant – Travel support for doctoral students in interdisciplinary programs who are presenting their doctoral research at a national or international conference.
